Kevin Brown Chief Executive Officer
Prior to Casenet, Mr. Brown founded AMISYS Managed Care Systems (NASDQ: AMCS) in 1989, a health insurance administrative systems vendor, where he was president, CEO and chairman of the board. While at AMISYS, Mr. Brown grew the company over 8 years to 70 million in annual revenues in 1997. AMISYS became the leading administrative systems vendor in the payer market, licensing the product to 105 health plans. In 1995 Mr Brown took AMISYS public and in late 1997 lead AMISYS through a very successful acquisition. In 2003 Mr Brown raised significant capital and acquired both the AMISYS business and a Pennsylvania based out sourcing company, Synertech, forming ASI, a company of 1,000 employees serving 85 health plans. Mr. Brown served as President and CEO of ASI for three and half years. In late 2006 ASI was acquired by DST Systems (NYSE: DST). Mr. Brown then served 2 years as Chairman of DST’s health industry subsidiary, DST Health Solutions, with a customer base of 165 payer organizations, then leaving DST to take the position at Casenet. For 12 years Mr. Brown has served on the on the board of directors of CareSource Management Company, one of the country’s largest independent Medicaid HMOs. In total Mr. Brown has 33 years of experience in the managed care industry having held positions at the Harvard Community Health Plan and as a facilities management IS Director serving Kaiser Permanente, Mid Atlantic Region. Mr Brown holds his Bachelor of Science degree from City College of New York.
Charlie Provenzano Senior Vice President Product Development
Mr. Provenzano joins Casenet after a 13 years with Allscripts/Eclipsys where he held the position of VP of Enterprise Software Development. Mr. Provenzano has over twenty years of experience developing enterprise level Healthcare IT products with a concentration in provider side application development including Clinical Analytics, Health Information Management and Financial Decision Support. Most recently he developed Patient Accounting and Revenue Cycle solutions for the acute care setting. As a VP for a large HCIT vendor and responsible for a multi-national development organization, he has grown and managed software product development organizations both offshore and in the US. Mr. Provenzano holds a BA degree from University of New Hampshire and a Masters degree from Northeastern University.
Tony Larson Senior Vice President of Client Services and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Larson has over 22 years of technology experience and successfully building companies in roles spanning client services, sales, marketing, product development, and business development. Prior to Casenet, Mr. Larson served as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Verplex Systems where he managed corporate marketing, product management and business development. Verplex was successfully acquired by Cadence Design Systems and Mr. Larson repositioned the product offerings to support a successful corporate integration. Prior to Verplex, Mr. Larson held senior sales and management roles at VA Linux and Synopsys. He holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
Kerry Winkle Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Mr. Winkle has been in the health payer industry for over 30 years and is responsible for all new revenue generation and marketing at Casenet. Mr. Winkle has vast experience and a proven track record of growing revenue and brand awareness with several leading payer software companies. He has held direct sales and sales management positions in the industry including Vice President Sales, National Accounts at HealthEdge, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at Mphasis Eldorado, an HP company, and as a Sales Executive at Trizetto and QCSI. Mr. Winkle attended Arizona State University and is a veteran of the United States Air Force.
George McHorney Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. McHorney brings more than thirty years of executive management experience to Casenet, including more than twenty years of financial and operational experience in emerging growth companies. Mr. McHorney has been the CFO, COO or CEO of a number of technology and software companies and has extensive experience in building growth businesses and helping to deliver successful liquidity events for shareholders. Mr. McHorney has led a successful initial public offering (Workgroup Technology), has facilitated M&A events (Coral Network Corporation, Legra Systems, Inc.) and has successfully led corporate restructurings (CompuCyte Corporation, Sepaton, Inc., Airpath Wireless). Mr. McHorney also spent a number of years at Wang Laboratories, Inc. and Data General Corporation in various line and staff positions. Mr. McHorney holds a dual Bachelors degree from the State University of New York at Oswego in Computer Science and Business Administration and a MBA with a concentration in Finance from Babson College.
